Les 3 Glorious

They are celebrated on the 3rd weekend of November. Burgundy then gives an appointment to its admirers from all over the world around 3 major events called : the Three Glorious.
The first of the «Glorious» is celebrated at the Château du Clos de Vougeot, the second takes place on Sunday, at the Hospices de Beaune. It is the largest charity sale of wine in the world, and finally the third, on Monday, the Paulée de Meursault, for those who find themselves in a good mood.

THE SALE OF WINES
The Hospices de Beaune, founded in 1443, are the owners of a very prestigious wine estate built up over time thanks to donations and inheritances, and composed mainly of 1ers and Grands Crus.
The wine production gives rise to a prestigious annual charity sale, every 3rd Sunday of November. It is the oldest charity sale in the world The profits from this sale are donated to the Hospices, for the conservation of heritage, medical equipment and the modernization of the hospital institution and to humanitarian associations but also for the service and care of the local community.
This event, which takes place under the Halle de Beaune, attracts international buyers, professionals or simple lovers of great wines. A unique atmosphere that makes it the most famous wine charity sale in the world!
The «president’s piece» represents the highlight of the sale, the proceeds of which are entirely donated to a charity chosen by the president of the sale.
Under the direction of Sotheby’s which will orchestrate the auction for the second year, the result of the sale will give the trend of the Burgundy wine market for the coming year.
